This Saturday we make a quick return to Faringdon Town but this time in the Norths Berks Charity Shield cup round 2.
The team put in an incredibly brave performance last week against high flying Blewbury and in truth the 4-3 loss was quite harsh on us. We lead 2-1 at half time but a lack of experience in key areas cost us dearly in the second half, it seems we get it right at one end by scoring goals and then things go wrong at the other! Congratulations to young Gary Mandizha for his first senior goal for the club and everyone else who run themselves into the ground last week on a pretty atrocious pitch with windy conditions. This week we are again struggling for numbers, already ruled out are myself, Huw, Prim, Johnny Hammond and Wayne Howard but we are boosted by the return of Matty Leach, Andrew Gibbons & Joe Mitchell. Squad of 14 is as follows -
Stephen
Ashman
Neal
Carrington
Sam
Elkins
Mikey
Fellows
Matt
Finch
Andrew
Gibbons
Tom
Hammond
Anthony
Hill
Nathan

Matthew

Please note as this is a cup match, kick off is at 1.45pm and Faringdon play at Tucker Park, Park Road, Faringdon. Once on Park Road, parking can be found opposite the entrance to Tucker's Park in the Second2None and Old Dairy Carparks.
This will be my last post for a few weeks as I'm off to the Dominican Republic for my brothers wedding, good luck to the team in my absence!
See you soon - Chris Allum
