We travel to Steventon this Saturday for a league encounter against the team who currentley sit level on points with us but one place below us in the league. Steventon struggled last season and finished 4th bottom in Division 1.
Last week we were defeated 1-0 by a resolute Faringdon side in a hard fought encounter in pretty grim conditions. Both teams defended well and in truth we probably deserved a point from the game but we lacked any real conviction in the final third and did not look like scoring. We currently sit fourth from bottom with two games in hand on most teams around us and the game against Steventon is a real 'must win' encounter as the teams above us have opened up a 5 point gap in the safety of mid table. Our squad is small and this was emphaised by us only being able to name 12 last Saturday, goalkeeper Huw returns this week but after Leachy's near faultless display deputising last week, it has given Bonzo a real selection headache. Both of the Hill's (Antony and Nathan) are unavailable this week but the squad is boosted by the selection of new signings, experienced midfielder Wayne Howard and young forward Jamie Sears. Squad of 14 is as follows -
Chris
Allum
Neal
Carrington
Paolo
Di Pasquale
Sam
Elkins
Matt
Finch
Andrew
Gibbons
Johnny
Hammond
Tom
Hammond
Wayne

Steventon are fairly local to us and play on Steventon Green, Milton Lane, Steventon, OX13 6AA. Kick off is 2pm and your support will be most welcomed.
Hope to see you Saturday
