Saturday 4th October - Berks & Bucks v Kintbury (H)

This Saturday we host Kintbury Rangers at The Croft in the first round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup, kick off at 2.30pm. Kintbury are in Hellenic Division 1 East and currently lie in 5th place after a pretty decent start so we know that we are the underdogs and will be in for another tough game.
We suffered our third defeat on the trot last weekend with the defeat against Lambourn. We went into the game with a weakend side and had a couple of people pull out last minute and when you are missing the quality of 4 players like Garry Clark, Antony Hill, Paolo Di Pasquale and Johnny Hammond it was always going to be backs against the wall against last seasons North Berks champions. We didn't really compete first half and were taken to bits by their pacey wingbacks who created both goals to send us in 2-0 down at halftime. In the second half we showed a bit more fight and ended up losing the game by 3 goals to 1. Bonzo is looking to change a couple of things round this week with hopefully the players being available to him to be able to do this. We trained last night and worked on some patterns of play and everyone worked really hard. We welcome back Johnny Hammond and hopefully Paolo will have shaken off his heavy cold, we also hope to see a debut for young defender Neil Carrington. However we will still be missing Garry, Hilly and Mikey Fellows. Squad of 15 is as follows -
