We are back in League action this week, with last seasons North Berks Division 1 champions Lambourn Sports travelling to the Hithercroft. Kick off 2.30pm.
We had another dissapointing 4-0 reverse last week at Buckingham in the Vase. In the end to be honest we were well beaten but if it wasn't for a couple of big factors going against us the game could have been a lot closer. Firstly we lost Hilly to injury midway through the first half, which disrupted the teams shape as influential midfielder Prim was moved back to Sweeper. Then in the second half we saw one of their players lash out at Smiler and escape with only a yellow and then a few minutes later Gibbo was dimissed for apparently swearing at the ref afetr getting clattered from behind! We can't dwell on last weeks defeat as our diffcult start continues with the visit of Lambourn, though they have had a bad start with two losses and 8 goals conceded in their first two games. The squad is again chopped and changed this week with Hilly missing with a pulled hamstring, Mikey Fellows with a broken ankle and Johnny Hammond away. Garry Clark is also struggling with a knee injury but we do have second keeper, Huw available if required. We are boosted with the return of Sam Elkins, Lee Edmonds and new signing, young Neil Carrington who has trained well for us over the last few weeks. Squad is as follows -
Chris
Allum
Neil
Carrington
Garry
Clark
Paolo
Di Pasquale
Lee

Elkins
Richard
Eyres
Matt
Finch
Andrew
Gibbons
