This Saturday brings us to our first league game in North Berks Division 1 against a strong Drayton team that finished 4th last season. We Kick off our league campaign at The Hithercroft at 2.30pm.
We have had a mixed pre-season, that started well with an excellent draw against Hellenic Premier Abingdon Town. then a comprehensive win against East Hendred in the festival cup. This was followed by two dissapointing defeats against Didcot Casuals & Drayton which knocked us out. We finished pre-season with a narrow 2-1 defeat against a very competitive Reading YMCA team on Tuesday. We have had a number of players come and go over the last few weeks, obviously Powelly has returned to Didcot and Fish & Tito to Benson, however we have seen the return of Garry Clark and Brad Chalmers over the last week which is really encouraging. We go into the game against Drayton tomorrow with a number of players not available due to injury and the holiday season but we are sure that with the players available we can compete well and hopefully get a result. Bonzo is still in discussion with a few players about signing and we hope to have a few new players on board over the next couple of weeks. The squad for the Drayton game is as follows -
Chris
Allum
Brad
Chalmers
Garry
Clark
Paolo
Di Pasquale
Craig
Duncan
Matt
Finch
Andrew
Gibbons
Johnny
Hammond
Tom

It would be great to see as many people as possible come and support the team in the club's new chapter in the Norths Berks League.
