Image Henley were our next opponents on wednesday night and we recoreded a great 1-0 win. Henley a very strong organised team as we saw and were league champions having only lost 4 games in the league last season inthe allied counties. Again players were away for this game and someplayers who played sunday were again missing. Again brad luke and sam were called in along with ryan langrish and phil hedges. This was just to bulk up the squad as i knew henley would give us a good physical game. Again the work rate from the boys was superb, a really good test for us again. The game tested our defence and midfield and i was really intreged and delighted that they reacted positively and dealt with henleys attack. Our goalkeeper never really had to make crucial saves. Gary returned for this game, having not seen the squad for 5 weeks and he was deleighted and impressed with how the team has developed and progressed. We performed stats on the game for our level 3 coaching badge and we just about came on top of that game which was good. Im still looking for a couple more players to build the squad up, so if anybody knows any under 18s interested in playing please let me (mikey) know.

Wedensday brings on our next test. This will be a test of our strength against a mens team. They will be very organised, strong and they have height advantage too. the squad should be close to full so every player should be availble a couple players are away still but by wednesday i should have seen all the players who have signed on. Kick off next week is 7pm on wednesday evening. I look forward to seeing more support. We are definatly turning into a very good team with a lot of prospect and hope for the season to come. Who knows maybe some success, thats the plan anyway.
Two very good performances, the players have definatly given me a selection headache which is what i want. But there is still one more game to prove themselves and hopefully they wont dissapoint. Mikey.
