AFC Wallingford will be running an Under 18 Youth team in the 2008-2009 season after a break of two years. The club will be holding an open evening for prospective new players on Wednesday 5th March at 7.30pm at Hithercroft Sports Park.
The evening will give players and parents a chance to meet our youth coaches Gary Webb and Mike Fellows. Both are qualified to FA Level 2 and currently studying for their FA Level 3 (UEFA 'B') badges.
Mike is a regular in the AFC Wallingford first team and has been with the club for seven years. He is studying sports science at University and coaches at the David Beckham Academy in south east London. Gary works full time as a coach for Reading FC's Football in the Community scheme.
The team will compete in the Allied Counties Youth League should our application to rejoin be accepted.
